This student development purchased by Greystar and PSP was delivered in just 12 months – crucially, in time for the start of the academic year.
Located in a conservation area, the iconic seven-storey tower draws on local forms and materials, showing how volumetric techniques can deliver architecture of the highest quality. In particular, meticulous detailing pays homage to the historic Savoy cinema that once occupied the site.
The development delivers 306 student homes as well as social space, a cafe, gym, laundry and bike storage, and establishes an important western gateway into central London.
Volumetric manufacture accounted for over 80% of construction, but just 15% of total construction time.
